A Characterization of Alternating Log Time by First Order Functional Programs
نویسندگان
چکیده
We a give an intrinsic characterization of the class of functions which are computable in NC that is by a uniform, logarithmic depth and polynomial size family circuit. Recall that the class of functions in ALogTime, that is in logarithmic time on an Alternating Turing Machine, is NC. Our characterization is in terms of first order functional programming languages. We define measure-tools called Supinterpretations, which allow to give space and time bounds and allow also to capture a lot of program schemas. This study is part of a research on static analysis in order to predict program resources. It is related to the notion of Quasi-interpretations and belongs to the implicit computational complexity line of research.

Alternating Regular Tree Grammars in the Framework of Lattice-Valued Logic
In this paper, two different ways of introducing alternation for lattice-valued (referred to as {L}valued) regular tree grammars and {L}valued top-down tree automata are compared. One is the way which defines the alternating regular tree grammar, i.e., alternation is governed by the non-terminals of the grammar and the other is the way which combines state with alternation. The first way is ta...
متن کاملModel Checking Liveness Properties of Higher-Order Functional Programs
Recent advances in the model checking of recursion schemes have opened the prospect of a model checking approach to the verification of higherorder functional programs. We formulate the Resource Usage Verification Problem in a general (liveness) setting, where good behaviours are specified by alternating parity (word) automata; and we give a sound and complete decision procedure by reduction to...

In this work, BSEA-SBA-15 was prepared for the first time, which was prepared by covalently anchoring Schiff-base compound (N,N´-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine (BSEA) on SBA-15 by hydrothermal method. The structure and physicochemical properties were determined by elemental analysis, XRD, nitrogen adsorption–desorption, thermogravimetric analysis and FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, BET surface area a...

متن کاملAn Implicit Difference-ADI Method for the Two-dimensional Space-time Fractional Diffusion Equation
Fractional order diffusion equations are generalizations of classical diffusion equations which are used to model in physics, finance, engineering, etc. In this paper we present an implicit difference approximation by using the alternating directions implicit (ADI) approach to solve the two-dimensional space-time fractional diffusion equation (2DSTFDE) on a finite domain. Consistency, unconditi...
